Workshops

The DDC uses hip-hop, contact improvisation, creative movement structures, and small group choreography to engage participants in kinesthetic explorations of concepts- both Buddhist and non. In addition to these dance forms, DDC workshops also employ seated and walking meditations and brief discourses on Buddhist teachings and embodied spirituality. Sessions can be geared towards both children and adults, as well as to both Buddhist and non-Buddhist audiences.
The first series of DDC workshops occurred in January of 2008 with the family and teen program of the Spirit Rock Meditation Center, in Woodacre, California.
Please contact us if you are interested in talking through how a workshop could best fit the needs of your group.
